Touring Resumes in New York for 2009 in Support of Big Whiskey
Last night, Dave Matthews Band picked up where they left off on their run of shows in the spring in Darien Center, NY. There were four songs mixed in from Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King, including the highly anticipated 'Time Bomb' debuting late in the set. Battling through torrential rains, and power troubles, DMB played a strong set, which featured Robert Randolph sitting in on 'Rhyme & Reason', as well as 'Funny The Way It Is' opening a show for the first time.
Once the infamous April Sessions were leaked, many fans began talking about which songs from BWGK would translate onto the stage well. An instant favorite, 'Time Bomb' debuted, and has received many positive reviews from those in attendance. 'Seven' is continuing to grow, and has been winning over more fans with each performance.
The reviews from those at the show has been mixed, but generally positive. This no doubt has to do with the weather that surrounded Buffalo yesterday; during 'Granny', the power went out, forcing the band to start up again.

The Set List
For the first time, 'Funny The Way It Is' opened a show. Having to perform through power failures and incliment weather still didn't slow DMB down, though it did force them to go back into 'Granny'.
Only four songs from BWGK were played, but 'Time Bomb' made its highly anticipated debut. Reactions from those there have mentioned that Tim featured a solo right before the song went into the intense outro. Robert Randolph also sat in on 'Rhyme & Reason', and quickly performed a tune from The Meters, 'Cissy Strut'.
