DMB Grammy Wrap Up

DMB YOU & ME GRAMMYSIt was a disappointing night at the Grammys for DMB and their fans. Nominated for 2 awards, DMB was beat out by Green Day's "21st Century Breakdown" for Best Rock Album, and by Taylor Swift's "Fearless" for Album of the Year.

Joining performances that ranged from a multi-censored Eminem/Drake/Lil Wayne combo, to P!nk's high flying Cirque du Soleil inspired number, DMB took to the stage late in the show to perform an outstanding rendition of “You and Me” complete with a choir, small orchestra and eight youth musicians.

DMB was introduced by Adam Sandler who took a moment to recognize Leroi's passing and his contribution to the band, something the Grammy Association failed to do last year during their In Memorium 2009. The performance was well received by those in the audience, and Time Magazine gave the performance an "A". The satirical website Television Without Pity also gave Dave's impromptu dancing a "best" mention for the night.
