DMB Encourages Help in Haiti

By now, many of us have seen the horrific images from the devastation of an earthquake that hit the country of Haiti this week. Haiti is the poorest nation in the Western Hemisphere, and will rely on aid from foreign countries for a long time, in order to rebuild.

DMB offers several aid options that fans may want to check out, and donate to.

To donate to an aid organization for immediate relief, please consider OXFAM, or Doctors Without Borders. If you would like to donate to an organization who will assist for a longer period of time, please consider Partners in Health, Fonkoze, or The Lambi Fund of Haiti.

DMB's own Bama Works foundation will also be donating funds, for both short and long term support.

Aid could be as easy as grabbing your cell phone. In America, texting "HAITI" to 90999 will automatically donate $10 to the American Red Cross. Charges will show up on your cellular phone bill, and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the organization. In Canada, Rogers and Fido customers will be able to donate $5 by texting "HELP" to 1291.
