DMB Asks You To Filter... For Good

DMB FILTER BOTTLEIt's a hot day, you're parked on the lawn with your friends, waiting for the show to start. You're thirsty, so you grab a sip of your water. And another. Until the bottle is empty. Now what? Gotta buy another bottle for showtime right? And toss that old one?

Earth Month may have "officially" ended come the beginning of May, but that doesn't mean conservation efforts should be tossed aside like... an old water bottle!

DMB is no stranger to environmental efforts to help "green" their tours. This tour, they want fans to join along in conserving plastic.

DMB has hooked up with Brita, Nalgene and the FilterForGood Campaign to encourage fans to use reusuable bottles, with filtered water. Dave Matthews says that venues will have refilling stations this tour for fans, as will the backstage area for the band and crew. FilterForGood is also working on having a booth set up inside venues this year, with more information on how we can conserve.

You can learn about DMB's efforts through their Pandora website, which gives you access to special Dave Matthews interviews, and can link you to other environmentally conscious artists like Jack Johnson and Lady Antebellum.

You can take the pledge to reduce your plastic bottle consumption, and switch to a reusable container through FilterForGood. Join their Facebook page, and keep up to date with their effots, and keep an eye out for ticket giveaways at a later date!

Do you already reuse? Do you think this will lower the amount of plastic bottles being tossed at venues this summer? Discuss it in our forums!
