Studio Photos: Dave's Matthews' Guitars and Tim Reynolds with a Sitar
A number of new photos from the ongoing sessions in New Orleans Dave Matthews Band's new studio album. The photos are the latest in what has been a somewhat steady stream of studio updates originating from social medium.

The most surprising photo appeared two days ago, picturing Tim Reynolds barefoot, playing a sitar. The photo of Tim appeared first on a facebook page of a crew member, and then was posted on various message boards.
According to a June 2000 interview with Lee Abraham, Tim picked up the sitar in the 1980s when he was on the edge of being completely homeless in Charlottesville, Virginia. He eventually transitioned out of his sitar phase and into using a 12 string. It was around this time that he met Dave for the first time.
Following up on a promise from this past weekend to post photos of his guitar on Monday, Dave twittered links to his own new photos on Monday. The shots reveal a variety of guitars.
A few days ago Dave said he was playing a few different guitars. Singer-songwriter and guitarist Pete Yorn twittered at Dave asking what which guitars were on display to which Dave responded: "Taylor, Gibson, dan electro."

In one tweet, Dave says he is playing a guitar Rob Cavallo had made for him that resembles a Fender Stratocaster. This new studio tweet is beleived to be that guitar:

Dave tweeted links to three other photos of the guitars in the studio. The most important in direct response to a tweeted question about the presence of the high-tuned 12 string Veillette Gryphon.
