Dave Adds Two More Events For Obama

Dave ObamaWith the general election approaching, Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds have made another attempt to show their support for Barack Obama. The acoustic duo will be performing a free show in Richmond, Virginia on Sunday, October 26th at the ALLTEL Pavilion at the VCU Stuart C. Siegel Center. The goal of this show is to "urge citizens to vote for the change our country needs."

Back in April, Dave and Tim performed their first show in support of Senator Obama at Indiana University.

This show is free and open to all Virginia residents. Tickets are free and available on a first-come, first served basis. A maximum of 2 tickets are available per person. If you are a Virginia resident, you can get your tickets at a Campaign For Change Office in either Richmond or Charlottesville.

In addition to the show in Virginia, Dave will be playing at a reception for Joe Biden tonight in Seattle. This will be a solo performence in support of the Democratic VP candidate.

The money raised from the reception, show and dinner will go to Obama/Biden's Get Out The Vote project, an initiative undertaken so that the Democratic Party can "wake up on November 5th and say we did everything to ensure victory".

Dave has said on many ocassions that regardless of who you vote for, it's important to vote on November 4th. Should you not have registered already, FIND OUT if your state's deadline hasn't passed yet.
