Because of Winn Dixie, the movie co-staring Dave Matthews has been delayed until January 14th, 2005. Dave discussed his roll in Winn Dixie during his recent appearance on Jay Leno.

This is Dave Matthew's second foray into a major motion picture. Filming for Where The Red Fern Grows took place in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and along the Illinois River over 1999. Dave was casted as Will Coleman in that movie.

The original production company for the movie filed for bankruptcy, with the film incomplete. The rights to picture were acquired and the shooting completed in 2002. The film premiered May 3rd, 2003 under the "Family Films" category at the Tribeca Film Festival.

Like Because of Winn Dixie, it still awaits popular release.
