Rumors continue to swirl regarding the possibility of three shows at the Red Rocks Ampitheatre in Morrison, Colorado.
The Denver Post has been adding fuel to the fire recently. On Sunday, Aprili 24th an article by Post columnist Bill Husted wrote "Nothing is confirmed yet, and there is no set date, say promoter Morris and Dave Matthews' people - but you can count on Dave Matthews Band playing at Red Rocks this summer."
Also this past weekend, a music article in Rocky Mountain News wrote under "Keep an eye out, No date yet, but likely to happen: Dave Matthews Band (mid-September, possibly three nights at Red Rocks)"
Take a moment to review the event calendar for the Red Rocks... Willie Nelson and Keith Urban flank the weekend of the 9th of September. Now look at the final dates of the 2005 DMB summer tour. The final show is scheduled for September 7th at the Verizon Amphitheater in Bonner Springs, Kansas.
It has been reported that
the booking manager for O.A.R. has said that they will play three dates with Dave Matthews Band at the end of the tour.
These shows would be special because the seating capacity is limited to 9450 people, compared to the current final venue tour, Verizon Amphitheater at Bonner Springs which seats 18,000.
DMB has not played Red Rocks Amphitheatre since May of 1998, in a show that debuted BTCS's The Dreaming Tree.
