 This past Saturday, Dave Matthews played with Eddie Vedder of Pearl jam at The Showbox in Seattle, WA. The event was a private party for the recently married CEO of RealNetworks, Rob Glaser.
Eddie Vedder and Glaser are connected through mutual interest in the West Memphis Three. Glaser is no stranger to high profile friendships, Bill Gates hosted the bachelor party for his first wedding.
This was the first time that Dave has played with Vedder. They performed several songs including Harvest Moon, Rockin in the Free World and Happy Birthday. Afterwards, Tim Reynolds and Dave performed an acoustic set. The final segment of the performance included all of the friends from Some Devil except Trey Anastasio.
The last time Dave is known to have performed at a private event was at the bat mitzvah for the daughter of Time Warner executive David Colburn. All proceeds from that performance were donated to charity.
