Billboard is reporting that Dave Matthews Band will add a fourth concert to their three-day stretch in Denver, Colorado at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre to benefit the victims of the Hurricane Katrina disaster.
The expected official announcement comes on the heels of a $250,000 donation to CARE to fight the "Tsunami of Poverty" in Sri Lanka. Dave Matthews and Dave Matthews Band have performed a number of benefit concerts in the past, from the annual Bridge School Benefit to the recent Golden Gate Park concert.
These shows mark the first time Dave Matthews Band has ever performed at the same location on four consecutive dates. There is some question as to how the DMB Katrina Benefit Concert will affect the setlists of the previous four nights and how pricing will be configured for the event.
Update 8/31/05 - Live telecast:
The PR Newswire is reporting that MTV, VH1 and CMT has announced the first part of a Hurricane Katrina Relief effort. The effort will begin with a live performance from a number of artists including Dave Matthews Band. This seems to indicate that a portion of at least one of the Red Rocks shows will be broadcast live.

Update 9/1/05 - Quotes from Matthews:
The Rocky Mountain News is reporting DMB will play Red Rocks the fourth night. They have a few quotes from Dave:
"Aside from the fact that we have people we know who are down there...we have just spent a lot of time down there playing,"
"We're just trying to figure out what we can do to be helpful. Everyone needs to take some time to figure out how best (they) can assist with what's happening there without getting in the way and without detracting from the focus. Like everyone else, I've been thinking about it for the last couple of days."
The article also reports that a press conference regarding the show will happen at the Fillmore Auditorium at noon central today, with tickets going on sale after Labor Day. (9/6/05)
Update 9/1/05 - 1PM - Ticketing Information:
Apparently all of the details of the fourth show came together in a scant 36 hours through cooperation from concert promoter Chuck Morris, Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper and Dave Matthews Band.
Tickets will go on sale on Wednesday, September 7th at 10AM at all Ticketmaster outlets. A limited number of VIP tickets will be sold at $500 and $1000, where the majority will go for $58.50.
Ticketmaster and MusicToday will be donating all additional ticket service fees to the hurricane recovery effort. Aramark Corporation, the concessions company at Red Rocks will donate all proceeds from the 9/12 show to the relief efforts as well.
