Six Year Surprise: Tim Reynolds Joins DMB On Stage

August 24th, 2004

Tim Reynolds Joins DMB in Albuquerque12/19/98 wasn't famous only for being selected for the official DMB release Live in Chicago, it was also the last time Tim Reynolds had taken the stage with the full band.

Towards the end of the show he came on and played Help Myself, Crash Into Me, Dancing Nancies, and Too Much.

Although he has been on numerous duet tours with Dave since, he's stayed away from the band as a whole. Most recently he sat in on Dave's solo album Some Devil and tagged along the Winter Dave and Friends tour that ran from 12/12/03 through 1/16/04

The last show of the first leg of Tim Reynold's tour was on 8/21/04 in Chico, CA. Tim's manager 'Fluffy' mentioned to a fan on the TR message boards after the show that Tim would be attending the the DMB concert after returning home to Santa Fe.

Tim was first spotted sound checking an electric guitar after opening act The Red West exited the stage. This appearance was a true surprise because as recently as March of this year Tim had said that he would not be playing any of the summer DMB tour dates. Now that this has been thrown out, the big question if and how many additional dates he'll play with DMB.

Tim's tour schedule puts him in the East from 9/11 through 10/01, which leaves ten possible DMB tour dates, including the Gorge.
