Artist Comments:

I haven't drawn Dave for awhile, and over break I finally got creative and wanted to try something new. So, I used a photo reference from the new DMB calendar and tried to draw it with colored pencils.

I do not have a lot of experiance with colored pencils so I wasn't sure of how it would turned out. I didn't expect this actually...I surprised myself. Took a little over 16 hours to do. I really hope you like...my first attempt at a real portrait with this medium.

Artist Comments: I Did this one early on in my jr. year in high school.
Worked on it in classes to pass time. Mechanical pencil, and a lot of free time.

Artist Comments: This was done for my drawing class in college. Mechanical pencil, graphite stick for the dark areas. I'm still messing around with it, but it's basically done. Took a little less than a week, 3 hours a day.

Artist Comments: Can I just say, his facial expression was hell to do...hard to capture his *smirk*, but after awhile I think I got it down. Mechanical pencil on cream colored paper. Two weeks, 3-4 hours a day.

Artist Comments: This is a finished drawing I did of Dave Matthews with a mechanical pencil and graphite stick...worked on it over a span of two weeks just for fun
