Disapointing Philly Show 12-13-05 at the Wachovia Center

This was my 21st DMB show and i feel the way they finished the 2nd half of the show was very piss poor for spending $140 a ticket. This was my 14th show in a row in the Philly area, for someone that lives in Philly to see what MSG gets every time is ashame. If I wanted to go to MSG Saturday to have the time of my life i woulda had to shell out $500+ a ticket for the seats i had last night at the Wach. Although i would have seen a great show with Halloween (never seen live) and ticker tape, it makes my experiance last night even more confusing. The show started off great with Recently (although the sound was a lil off) and eventually Seek UP and Nancies./ But after Nancies, Warehouse was completly called for, but you kill the energy and play Old Dirt Hil, that was bad, really bad. Then Stand Up which is worse than I Did It, i actally like I Did It, im saying in principle, you guys no what i mean. There are good songs on SU but for a Grammy caliber band, with the respect they have it was fair at best. Stay was a horrible choice for the closer, i like the song, obviously not one of my favorites but it just isn't Two Step or Ants or Watchertower, or even What You Are. As for the Encore Christmas Song was great, was really looking forward to hear it again after 3 years. PNP>>Rapunzel was good, but to CLOSE THE SHOW?? No friggin way, they left the stage at 10:47, you have to be off by 11:00 pm. or you get fined every minute after (the promoter of the concert) so to leave 13 minutes on the board is like not playing the 9th inning of a tight baseball game. Two Step or Ants or Watchtower, or at the very least What You Are would have let me go home somewhat happy, but on the way out I yelled at Fenton (the Lighting guy) walking to the step from the floor area, and said what the hell "Stay and Rapunzel as closers" he looked at me dumbfounded...lol, it was hilarious,

Sorry to hear you didn't have a great time. How in the hell did you end up paying 140$ for tickets though? That's just crazy! I thought the set list was pretty decent, atleast there wasn't a Dreambitch in it. Although, you did have to listen to Stand Up

I know what you mean. I was at Toronto (AWESOME SHOW) then rochester and was completely bummed by rochester even though they played recently and minarets..


stand up is a killer.. all we can do is hope to god that the next album rocks!

Fenton does owe us an interview, but there is no reason to vocally assault a crew member of DMB. Please don't do this.

I wasn't at / haven't heard the show, but a PNP->Rap closer is totally legitimate. Rapunzel is a fantastic Dave Matthews Band song.

And yes. Paragraphs. edit: i think the best thing about paragraphs is that they force people to seperate their thoughts. It is really hard to ramble with paragraphs

I am sorry you were disappointed. I personally thought PNP -> Rapunzel was a great closer, but I really love that song. The only buzz kill for me was ODH.

Minarets, Seek up, Recently, the AB intro was insane, just to name a few!! I don't have much to complain about when I see DMB. But that is just me.

i went into the show with very few expectations because i didn't want to be disappointed (i knew i was going to get ddtw...) i was happy not to get dreamgirl the recently opener was good and i really enjoyed rashawn ross. i honestly thought he wouldn't be there so when he walked out onto the stage i was really excited!

i've got to admit (before libby tells on me) i even enjoyed boyd when he went crazy and was dancing all around the stage (notice i didn't say i want it to happen on every song at every show i attend and he's still my least favorite, after butch of course)

Why bitch after seeing your favorite band? I saw them at the Target Center this tour. I didn't get to see such winter tour staples as L&L, CS, Seek Up, Minarets...etc. I still had a f'n awesome time. Enjoy the show and keep your mouth shut around the crew members....for all of us.
