Default VIP Tickets Question

Howdy all!! I'm new to the forum, so bare with me. My wife and I are going to see Dave and Tim play in Seattle in December. However, we are torn as to if we should purchase the regular tickets or the VIP tickets. Does Dave usually show up for a brief meet-and-greet, or should I just go with the regular tickets and save $300? Any help or advice would be great.

Welcome!
Go with normal tickets. The only benefit to the VIP tickets is getting into a banquet hall with food and meeting hardcore and rich fans (which you can do here anyways). My parents thought that they'd meet him too, so it must be a common misconception.

Welcome to WDS

I've done the VIP before at D&T Night 2 in Vegas last December... The banquet was cool... great food and open bar along with getting first dibs at posters and merch. (they set up a stand in the VIP area) The best part for me though was getting prime seats. We were in the 7th row and you can see every little facial expression. With it already being such an intimate setting... it was kind of surreal. Was it worth it? Hell Yeah. Being that close was incredible. Would I do it again? Probably not. It's alot of money that i don't have to just throw around, but to have that experience once was pretty awesome and i'm really glad i did it.

^ That's the same show my parents went to, I think they got N1 though. They ended up with row 20-25 (as they remember) so Jenny got really lucky. Although this could be another WH seniority thing...

Welcome to WDS

Ticket questions can probably be answered in this thread. I'm not too sure VIP will still be available, I think they had to be requested in the presale. But check with the Warehouse. Otherwise you will have to probably go thru a ticket broker or eBay... and that will hurt

Like Jenny said in post 3, the VIP is great. I've done it a few times. The buffet is great, open bar (beer) --and if you drink as much as I do, you can quickly recoup some of your money back--, own merch. stand (comes in handy, esp. with posters). But you will not be mingling with the band, just other fans. And, like Jenny said, VIP package ensures good seats too. Well worth it, IMO. But if money is an issue, you should definitely go the regular tickets route.
