WDS Chat Room Back Again in 2010! ...and 2011! - Weekly Davespeak

In response to the positive feedback we got from the 2009 Tours, WDS is excited to announce we will be offering the chat room feature again in 2010.

Like last year, instead of discussion taking place in the show thread during the show, you'll have a chat room to enter and talk with other fans about the show while it's happening. While in the chat you will have access to the Weekly Davespeak Tweet Tray where you can see all DMB related tweets and setlist info.

Here's how it works. Prior to each show, a thread will be created in the DMB Tour forum which will have information about the show. This show thread will contain links to the show's meetup thread, its DMBAlmanac page, and the chat room. It will also let you know the time the chat room will open. The show thread will remain open prior to and after the show, but discussion during the show will take place in the chat room.

Things to note:

Post #1 of the show thread will contain an active link to the chat room while it is open. Click the link to enter the chat. (If there is no link for the chat, it isn't open.)
Chat rooms will open at approximately 8:00pm local time the night of the show. (i.e., If the show is in New York, the chat room will open 8:00pm Eastern Time. If the show is in Los Angeles, the chat room will open 8:00pm Pacific Time). For the European shows, we'll do our best to get the show times right but keep in mind some start times are not readily available and we must rely on the venue website, etc. for such information.
Chat rooms will close shortly after the last song is played (expect 11:00pm).
Chat rooms will be moderated. The same posting guidelines we have in our forums will apply in the chat room. The chat sessions will also be logged and available for review by our moderating team.
If someone is bugging you, you will have the option of ignoring them in the chat room, so you won't see their comments. Also, inappropriate behavior should always be reported to moderators by sending a PM. You can be banned from the WDS forums for your behavior in the chat room.
After the show ends and the chat room is closed, discussion about the show should continue in the show thread.
Do not create show threads on your own as they will be removed. Staff will take care of creating the threads and providing the necessary links.
