I have a feeling though that they'd change the system of getting into the Pavilion/Pit Seating. I mean they would probably have the Pavilion seating then have another set of security to get into the pit.(That's saying if the Pit is partitioned from the rest of the seats)

I like most of this new policy - let's give it time to see how it works out.

IMHO, I personally think you all are reading WAAAAAY too much into this... Honestly, reading those rules, that seems like the way its always been...

If you selected Pavilion last year, and they were all gone, they didn't give you lawn seats, you were denied.

Anyways, for General Admission pits, if this is true... When you come in the door, they either have a special entrance for Pit people, or a little booth inside where you get a wristband, and they make you show the ticket and the wristband at the entrance to the Pit, and have security there to stop people from sneaking in.

This assumes there's security at Alpine actually checking for pavilion tickets.

This is true. Dave and I rolled the dice last year at Alpine and went for Pavilion Only. If you don't get pav seats, you don't get tickets. That's the chance you take of not going Best Available.

Thelma & Louise... That's how it all began.

And just FYI, we did that going Pavilion only hoping to get better seats... We were both in the back 1/3rd of the pavilion each night.

Well... I've only been to one GA show recently, OAR last summer... and I hated it.

I guess we'll just have to see how it panns out and which venues will have this new GA pit section. I know at Camden, an ampitheather, the pit section is blocked off by security... you need a wrist band to get in. They could easily impliment these new rules, as the seating in the pit section is folding chairs that can be removed. As long as they keep that section blocked off by security, it might not be too bad.

For Stadium shows... Hershey, in my case... I will def opt for a seat in the bleachers, since the entire floor section will now be GA. I've been in the 10th row there before and the stage is pretty high up, so the view isn't that great anyway... I don't want to stand there for hours on end all hot and sweaty without being able to pee or get a drink. It's that simple. Yeah, you have the opportunity to get close, but I'm not sure the uncomfort would be worth it. I don't want to pay $75+ for a ticket to not have a actual seat.

Yeah I agree. This kinda sucks. I would almost be inclined to skip Hershey all together, but that's just me...the acoustics are really not great in the bleachers to begin with. Maybe I am just in a shitty mood this morning..I don't know, but no field seats. Have fun!

I was told by my Hershey source two weeks ago that there will be no seating by the stage like there has been in the past, so this doesn't surprise me.
