Default Too many Live Albums?

Its become a running joke among some people, but it seems that DMB has released alot of live albums (13 plus warehouse and bonus discs). I never thought it was too many because each is different in their own way, but what do you guys and gals think? When he wrote the song Too Much was he talking about this?

I agree. I don't think they put out enough live albums. I only wish they would release some of the fan favorites, namely 12.31.96.

Besides, bands like Pearl Jam and Phish have released way more live material.

i would love more and more and more and more live albums like brian said they are a live band and thats when they are at their best. i just wish they would pick one random night to go nuts pick a venue they have never played before and make it just like any other night but shock the crowd by playing songs that have one: never been played live before, two: songs that have not been played since they have first ever played, and three: going nuts on crowd fav's like recently and two step and last stop and halloween, just playing everything fans wish for alll the time then the next show just go back to doing what they do all the time, just be one of the rarest concerts the band has ever put on, and i can only hope that they would do that at some place near my house so that i could be at that concert. thats my dream concert.

Question- When they do the concert, do they know before hand if it is going to be a live album to sell in stores, or do they decide after?

I agree, I think they should have more live albums because you can here extended versions of songs, awesome jams, mistakes, and commentary. It's is a very personal look at the band.

i think thats a great idea...no offense to the band and producers, but the live albums seem to have the same songs over and over. its still great, but i think that DMBFOX7899's idea is spectacular...anyone kno who we can write a letter to?=)

The great thing about live albums is that the songs ARENT all the same...and the order in which the songs are played and the transitions are an entire experience within themselves...you just listen to the live album and imagine if you were at that concert, just thinking of the anticipation of the crowd that was there, and hearing their reaction when the first few notes of a song are played...thats what the live album is all about.

Im sure by the end of this tour their would be one out or annouced for pre order.

Personally the band needs to release these Live Trax's to the stores. They can probably gain alot more fans.
