Default Anyone Seen The Bridge, Where Did it Come From? (merged)

A friend and I were questioning the orgins of the name for this jam. I heard awhile back that they named it "Anyone Seen The Brige?" because Robert Plant from Zeppelin said on one of there live records "Has Anyone Seen The Bridge?" after one of there tunes. Is there any truth behind that, or does anyone know the true meaning behind the name?

It's named after the Zeppelin song "The Crunge" in which he says "Anyone seen the bridge". The DMB song was named so because the crew thought it sounded like "The Crunge"

Dave's part sounds very similar to "The Crunge," which is where the "has anyone seen the bridge" line comes from.

Plant says "Has anyone seen the bridge" because The Crunge is based off of James Brown songs which were almost always recorded live without rehearsals. When James would sing, he'd tell the band to switch to the bridge in a song. This became an inside joke to the members of Zeppelin and they'd say "Where's that confounded bridge?".

Well the song is a bridge to Too Much and/or other songs. In the Zeppelin song, it doesnt refer to the bridge in that song.

Musically it was taken from one of those jams at the end of one of those BTCS tracks. I think it was Pig, but I can't say for certain. It's the one where Dave does the little drunk scat thing.
