So I am currently not apart of the Warehouse and I'm wondering if it is particularly worth joining. I notice you get a small package with a photo, cd, and then random small gift, but how does the ticket distribution work for warehouse members?
Is it based on seniority where members from 2000 get better seats than those who joined in 2006 or is it just completely random? What was the best seats you've gotten from being a member. I know it's not the best time in the year to sign up and I'm not planning on it just yet. I know you can get a pair of tickets through the warehouse so I may split it with a buddy of mine. I'm just curious what people thought about it and if it is worth it.

I've been apart of the warehouse since 2005. The advantages being in the warehouse is that you don't have to deal with Ticketmaster.
Tickets for a night 1, is senority based, N2 is random. I've had my share of good seats and bad seats from there. Best seats I've had were about 30 rows back, but I'm a poor college student so I usually get lawn to begin with. Best time of the year would probably be Decemberish. It's just in time for the gift, and also the presale tickets in March. The $35 dollar fee is worth it, just because you don't deal with ticketmaster. |

I would agree with cpxc. I've been a member since 2002 and I've never been denied tix. I usually get seats as opposed to lawn and I always seem to be at or near the front of the second level of seats. For me, the benefit is not having to make sure I'm around a computer when they go on sale through ticketmaster. You put in your request sometime during the request period and you're done. Plus, the CD in the package usually has some good stuff on it.

Worth every penny of the $35 IMO - even if the only benefit was only requesting tickets before they go on sale it would be worth it for me.
I have been a member since 2003 and I have yet to be denied tickets - which from what I have read here in some of the posts is not always the case - but fortunately for me I have also been lucky to always get seats too - the closest I have been given seats for is 15th row at Home Depot Center a few years back. There are tons of others cool things on the site once you are a member too. I would definately spend the $35 if I were you. |

Ive been a member since 99 and i love it. I have gotten great tickets many times (front row 2xs and within the first 20 rows about 10xs). Its definitely worth it and you dont have all the ticket-bastard fees. The cds they send out are usually pretty cool too so its definitely worth it.

For me its kind of a bit harder to justify, I volunteer and practically sell my soul to work for some of the organizations that have booths at the shows, so I get a few perks without joining... I did ask for a Warehouse membership for my birthday though... ~andrea

ok, I have a question... when DMB was at Fenway, was the stadium full of Warehouse members? Cause I tried from the time tickets were open to the public, until I got thru and was told the show was sold out... Anyone on here go to Fenway??? How did you get tickets?
As far as one of the previous posters saying he got 30 rows back with Warehouse membership... for me I don't think that is worth the membership! lol-just my opinion. ~andrea

worth joining if you plan to go to one or two shows. Paying face value for a tik is a beautiful thing (and pays for the membership), as is Warehouse members who sell their tix at cost if they end up with extras.
Seating is theoretically done by a lottery with a seniority factor. It's kinda pot luck. I've had seats in the last row of a pavillion for a few shows (uncovered in the rain at DeerCreek), but I've also gotten Pit seats (in front of row 1), row 6, row 13 and a lot of seats in the 20-something rows over the past 5 years. |

I was a warehouse member for about 5 years. I had no real complaints but found that if you wanted to bring more than 2 people you were screwed. And sometimes I actually got better seats just by waiting and buying them a few weeks before the show. The best seats I had were in Ohio at Polaris for the first show of the 2000 tour 10 row center. We bought them a day before the show.
Sometimes I got my warehouse seats and was able to buy better ones closer to the stage. It is just that, luck of the draw. |
