I am exicted for opening day, I am going to hit up the Cubs first game against the Brewers at Wrigley. Carlos Zambrano said that he didn't want to start opening day again because he's 0-3 on opening day, so Ted Lilly will likely/hopefully start that day.

I thought that there was talk about Zam. going somewhere else. I mean cubs fans werent very nice to him last year. We redsox will deff add him into the rotation!!!! How nice would that be. To add a stud like that into the already stud rota of the sox.

I can't see Chuck Zambrano going to the Sawks. I can see Santana going to the Yanks, they'll need him too.

Zambrano has some unfinished business with the Cubs, he doesn't want to go nowhere. And he signed like a 5 year contract...

The Yankees couldnt even beat Cleaveland but then again the Indians gave the sox a fight. Losing the first game and then winning 3 straight.

For the Twins sake, if they are going to trade Santana, they should get on the ball, becuase they don't want to trade him in season becuase what if he had a few bad starts and at the all star break he is hovering around .500 and the sox and yanks are doing fine...

So it looks like Santana and the Mets have agreed on a $150 million dollar contract, which beats Barry Zito's contract from last year. This now makes the Mets the team to beat, but don't get me wrong I think that they can be beaten. I think Santana will take about more than half the year to adjust to NYC, it's a lot bigger and different than MN. People on TV are already giving Santana the NL cy young, but I don't think he will even be in the top 5, I mean he went 15-13 with a era in the 3s last year, that's not gunna win you a Cy young, not even in the NL. Zito struggled with his new club after signing a huge deal, and i don't think that's a coincidence, when you get that much money, you almost will try too hard.

Well, pitchers and catchers report in less than two weeks for some teams, it's almost the magic time of the year, baseball season!!!
