Default American Baby: RELEASED! (UPDATE, song with jam) (merged)

UPDATE: the latest buzz indicates that America Online will be pre-releasing this song tomorrow (3.15.05) so we might have a cleaner copy sooner than you think.

TORONTO -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 03/14/2005 -- Musicrypt Inc. (OTC BB: MCYPF) (TSX-V: MCT), the industry's leading developer of user-friendly and secure media distribution, today announced that RCA Records, a unit of Sony BMG Music, has chosen Musicrypt's Digital Media Distribution System (DMDS) to deliver the new Dave Matthews single, "American Baby," to radio in the United States. The song will be sent to Mainstream Top 40, Triple A, Modern Rock, Hot AC, and Mainstream AC at 12:01 a.m. March 17 ET. Musicrypt's patented Digital Media Distribution System (DMDS) is an easy-to-use, web-based system that requires no expensive software or hardware. DMDS delivers music securely and simultaneously to all intended destinations and is available 24/7. Its advanced technology allows record labels and broadcasters to control the delivery, receipt and use of their music.

"As mainstream music evolves, so does the method in which it is being delivered," stated Adrian Moreira, VP Adult Format Promotion, RCA Music Group. "Musicrypt's DMDS is paving the way for how music will be securely delivered now and into the future. Choosing this system was our way of ensuring that music fans everywhere will receive broadcast quality audio as soon as it becomes available."

In December 2004, Musicrypt entered an exclusive partnership with Billboard Radio Monitor to market and promote DMDS in America following an extremely successful year in Canada where Musicrypt's Digital Media Distribution System (DMDS) is the premier digital music distribution system in the industry. On March 1, 2005, DMDS was also endorsed by Clear Channel Radio, America's largest radio chain with over 110 million listeners choosing Clear Channel programming each week.

"We are extremely pleased that RCA has chosen our DMDS technology for the initial debut of the first single to be released from the Dave Matthews Band, 'American Baby,'" said Peter Diemer, Vice President Marketing & Sales for Musicrypt. "This clearly endorses the fact that our technology is the premier distribution system in the industry."

With the music industry revenues exceeding over $30 Billion today, Musicrypt has worked closely with its customers to develop user-friendly technology that securely delivers broadcast quality music to its recipients. Musicrypt has completed over a quarter of a million secure deliveries to date with today's hottest music chart toppers such as U2, Usher, Norah Jones, Shania Twain, Britney Spears, 3 Doors Down, Avril Lavigne, Alicia Keys, Nickelback, Christina Aguilera, Coldplay, Dido, Evanescence, Green Day, Gwen Stefani, K-OS, Hoobastank, Jet, Jimmy Eat World, Maroon 5, Robbie Williams, Sarah McLachlan, R. Kelly, Seal, Sum 41, Sting, The White Stripes, Tim McGraw, and hundreds of others.

About RCA Music Group:

The RCA Music Group which includes J Records, RCA Records, and Arista Records is a unit of Sony BMG, and is home to such artists as Christina Aguilera, the Foo Fighters, Maroon 5, Sarah McLachlan, Avril Lavigne, Gavin DeGraw, and Carlos Santana.

About Musicrypt:

Musicrypt's patented Digital Media Distribution System (DMDS) is the leading secure B2B digital delivery solution for the music industry. DMDS is a web-based delivery system that pioneers secure digital file distribution by incorporating biometrics, high-value encryption and watermarking. The first application of DMDS replaces the physical distribution of new musical recordings by record companies from the studio, internally, and to radio stations with more secure, more effective and less costly digital distribution of broadcast quality media via the Internet. Musicrypt trades on the TSX Venture Exchange (TSX-V) under the symbol MCT and in the U.S. under OTCBB:MCYPF. For more information on Musicrypt, please visit http://www.musicrypt.com

so do you all think the first single will hit the internet for dl friday morning? i mean even if this is secure. someone who has internet radio streaming can easily record the song and send it out. not to mention the abilty to record right from xm radio to your pc. clear quailty too. So this new tech is nice and secure for the music groups, but lets get real computer nerds just have too much time on their hands and love a challenge.

I just hope with my stupid, lazy dial up I get to hear this when all those non-DMB fans get to. Man, that'd suck. Getting all riled up for this new song to be released, and not be able to listen to it while sucky non-DMB fans get to hear my happiness.
