Confused About Hershey GA Seating HELP!

Okay so the last time I saw Dave at Hershey Park Stadium was back in 2009. I had bought GA tickets and was standing in the field for the entirety of the show. I still have my old tickets and the section says "GA Standing". This year my boyfriend and I bought GA tickets at separate times, and when I got my ticket in the mail today it said "Section:GA22, Row:GA3, Seat:35." I'm only confused because I didn't think there were assigned seats when you bought GA. I'm also concerned because my boyfriends ticket is for row GA4, and if the seats are assigned we won't be together. If anyone could clear up the confusion I would seriously appreciate it! Thanks!

GA is just GA in Hershey, there shouldn't be an issue. The last show they did was in 2010 and it was the same way, but all of it was standing room.

There is a GA Pit and general GA behind 3 large sections of seats. When you enter the field area its vendors and general GA admission, then walk closer to the stage and have 3-5 huge sections of seats from right to left and then a GA pit in the front.

Do you know if those seats are assigned?

Neither the GA Pit nor regular GA are assigned. It's simply first come, first serve as far as a spot to stand. The numbers on the tickets are for "barcoding purposes" only per the official site. That being said, a regular GA ticket doesn't get you into the pit, only the GA Pit ticket will. The seats on the sides of the field on either the right or left are assigned, similar to pavilion seating at other venues. They're just bleachers for a football field (think big high school football field basically).
