Hey guys, looking for some advice about tenting out at SPAC this summer. For those of you who have stayed at Lee's, would it be impossible to get a spot for my girlfriend and I on day two (the 9th) even if we come early in the morning? We are planning on just going to night two and tenting out that night. Also, what do people usually do about getting to and from the venue that have been day drinking? Is the shuttle/bus service reliable or do most people take cabs/have a DD/walk?

In 2010 Lee's began taking reservations as opposed to the first-come, first-serve style used before. I would check Facebook or their website to see if they have posted any details on this year’s arrangement. I made the approx. 5-6 mile walk last time around after N2 and although we beat the $20 a night shuttle bus back to Lee's there was crazy amounts of traffic and a few sketchy spots to cross, not to mention it being dark out so i wouldn’t recommend it or driving unless you have a legit DD. Like I said there was a $20 a night shuttle but it’s hard to say whether or not they will offer it again and there’s always the option for a taxi.

ah ok. thank you very much! my plan B was to be extremely frugal and just sleep in my car in the SPAC parking lot. has anyone done this and would be willing to share their experience with that?

Can't sleep in your car in the park. They kick everyone out of the park especially out of the parking lots.

I try to get $10 for a carload and another $5 a person to camp. At night we have partys and allow camp fires and of course partying. My e-mail is procco12866@aol.com or stop by on Rt 50, just south of SPAC at the corner of Leonard Road.
I think we got the idea with your previous four posts....
