anyway, i always want to be closest to the stage anyway - GA or otherwise. the thing is, even that it's so expensive, i do want to share everything not just because of the money - hotel room, camping, van, car - it's kinda boring alone

Things will certainly be easier and more fun if you have someone to travel and split expenses with.
The thing about seeing shows in the states, is that the fan base and venues are much larger than those in Europe. (as you probably already know) A majority of these venues hold 20,000+ people. (Alpine, I believe holds 40,000) Unfortunately, the only way to get that close to the stage would be to get Pit tickets. That may not be easy to do as a first year warehouse member. However, if you are willing to pay over face value, you should be able to find Pit tickets or pavilion tickets elsewhere online after the public sale has begun. Here, we consider ourselves pretty lucky to get any seats in the pavilion. Especially at the more popular venues... Gorge, Alpine, SPAC for example. Getting really close to the stage is like winning the lottery. I'd say as long as you're not in the lawn, you'll have a decent view of the show.
I do understand how you feel though, that's a long and expensive trip to not get the seats you want.
Best of Luck! Hope everything works out!
