I wasnt even gonna share these, because im fairly confident that they are just rediculous and made up. So, take this for face value, cause it could be a nice basis, or just a nice dream...This appears to be SO overly false that 2 more "leaked DMB tracklists" have been put up on the same site by fans showing how easy it is to fake this...so...that being said...i beg you all...lets not go nuts over this and take it as the truth...just think of it as a pipe dream.

I put Bryan up to this in part because its fun to think about could happen with this release. Especially considering that this has some believable parts to it.

The tracklist has all the songs that have been announced on the official new album site--plus some highly contentious songs, JTR, Good Good Time. Yet it doesn't go so far as to say Blue Water is on there, and the song names and album name are in low-key dmb style.

I was even thrown by the inclusion of "How Many More (http://www.weeklydavespeak.com/forums/showthread.php?t=900)." which was a soundcheck from August 02.

Its worth noting that anyone can post album information leaks on there without registering. i.e. Boyd's Workout Mix in a spoof post.

well the album site says that they'll be posting audio clips soon, so i guess we'll find out which of those songs are on the album......who knows....they did say they had about 20 songs and with as much fun as they seem to be having making the album, 2 discs doesn't seem out of the question......:boings:

It does, to me. How many studio made albums can you name that deliver two disks as opposed to one. It just doesnt sound like DMB fashion to me. If anything, they'll keep the remaining songs for the next studio album.

If they do shelved the remaining songs they are more likely to forget abou them. Even if they go back and listen to them again a year later they might want to change them all completely. But a 2 disk album has been done before. And if im not mistaken i heard U2 recently done it. Im not sure so dont quote me on that im not a U2 fan.

Just because DMB has never released a 2 disc album, does not mean that it will not happen. Maybe they did not want to say anything b/c they want it to be a surprise.

This fits in with the marketing strategy of dmb in the past. The only difference is they've never given out unreleased tracks in this way. Its usually live recordings.

Now that I think about it, I'm not sure that they would do this for financial reasons. They would basically be giving away free new music just to get pre-orders. That doesn't make as much sense for them, when they could drive pre-orders with a few d+t soundboards.

Or even better: With each pre-order you get a "DMB Live Trax Sampler." This has a selection of a few tunes off each of the live trax cd's released thus far.

that would suck ass.... the majority of the people who are preordering this disc already have all the live trax albums....why would we want a best of disk?

Maybe a special LiveTrax volume? Gotta be something good to make you pre-order it since it will be cheaper in stores and you dont have to crap out the ridiculous shipping charge. What they've dont in the past is pretty cool, but gotta mix it up since people have been going ape shit for this album...oh boy!! maybe they'll do the DMB luggage drawing again...

It would suck ass for the diehards online, but I would imagine that most people on the street don't know that dmblivetrax exists. Given that the band has complete control over the distribution of this music (take in all the revenue) the business behind the band would be stupid if not to promote it in every possible way. They have not had a major opportunity to since we saw Worcester.

The minimum we're likely to see is a big insert with the new album advertising dmblivetrax on one side, and the warehouse on the other.

I suppose its also possible they could throw another D+T disk out there as a second option for pre-orders.

I think he's saying that the band would not have to go as far as releasing new music to drive pre-order sales, its going to happen no matter what the pre-order bonus is. which is cool and how i'll order the cd. It supports the band more so than going to wal-mart to buy it.

I hope they put as much as they want about the LiveTrax series in the album, bc it's a project they started and obviously want to be successful, I like it, maybe a little too expensive but something I want to see continued...

Go back and Re Read the first post. What Bryan is saying is that site is basicly a hoax site. Someone made up most of those song titles. It was someone from Antsmarching.org and i know when it surfaced a bunch from Amidreaming.org made fake albums of Noel from Amidreaming.org. For all we know Sugar will might or might not be on the album. Cant really tell until there is more info on it.

Im sure its just A$$ talk. Thats how some people are at Nancies.
And if anything DMB will stick with the one producer, and possible ask for assistance from another but that is unlikely.
As much as i love Dre's work and how he prodcues (cause he is really great at it) im really enjoying what Mark has been doing.

"THE WALL". DMB has a very Floyd like appeal to them. As far as "greatest albums" go, I rate BTCS right up there with "Dark Side of the Moon". Both albums just seem to flow and tell a story. It's not unreasonable to think that DMB would want to follow in Floyd's footsteps and release a double disc studio album. Who knows, they may even make a crazy movie to go along with the album. :lol:

Unlikely perhaps but not out of the question.
