too bad he doesnt go hunting with bush...

but seriously, i believe there is a clause in the patriot act that gives the vice president the authority to shoot anyone he deems "a threat to wildlife security"

That sucks.

I like this part about the guy who was 'peppered':

"Whittington owns property in Travis County worth at least $11 million, the Austin American-Statesman reported last year, not counting a downtown block at the center of a long-running dispute with the city over a condemnation issue."

Seriously, not a cool comment at all, I don't care who has what politics...

The other stuff was funny, just not that part

 funny

I just read an articlea about this from the CBC, a main news station in Canada. And then I laughed my arse off.

Here's a link to the Canadian article, if anyone's interested.

That is too bad, but aren't hunters supposted to wear those bright orange jackets? How do you mistake that for a bird? I am no hunter.

"This is something that happens from time to time. You now, I've been peppered pretty well myself," said Armstrong.

How many times  I think after the first time... no more hunting for me!!

The investigation for this is already over......cases similar to this stay open for weeks if not more?!?!?!? And whats with the delay in reporting this.... And now they say the guy suffered a heart attack as a result....

This is a serious matter that is just getting swept aside....late-night fodder

I'm not a fan of Cheyne's, but this looks like a bad accident. I don't see any scandal here.

My point is they're (the White House, the media) are down playing this soooo much. As far as hunting goes....the term peppered refers to the little pellets they fall back down after a blast is fired (provided it doesn't hit anything). You can't really get punctured by it. This poor guy was shot - with a shot gun - plain and simple....

he cant be while in office, but when cheney leaves office, criminal charges would not be unwaranted. if he die,s manslaughter, if not, some neglegence of some sort (intro to lawhttp://weeklydavespeak.com/forums/images/smilies/lol.gif)

wanted to add a bit more......I'm not disputing it was a tragic mistake...all I'm saying is it is way more serious then everyone is making it out to be.....and why did it take so long for them to report it. (Whoops....lets get out stories straight guys...hide the liquor...etc.)

I think they would have covered this up if they could, it would have been ideal. Makes you wonder what has been covered up. I love a good conspiracy (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-2023320890224991194&q=red+pill).
