may she rest in peace.

Amen!

"I am leaving this legacy to all of you ... to bring peace, justice, equality, love and a fulfillment of what our lives should be. Without vision, the people will perish, and without courage and inspiration, dreams will die the dream of freedom and peace." - Rosa Parks

Let's just hope no one asks her to switch seats up in Heaven :somedevil

Boy is that an awesome quote. She was indeed a remarkable lady with vision and courage. May we never forget how much we owe to people like her.

Thanks for the post and the reminder Charles!!

She showed courage that I can hardly fathom showing. It was a crazy time in American history, and she will go down as one of the true bright spots. In my opinion, her and MLK had the greatest impact on reversing such an ugly characteristic of ol' glory.

I reminded my students today that it indeed took courage for her to act. But I also felt it important to point out that her actions and those like the actions of the students at the Woolworth lunch counter made a difference and are respected today because they were NON-violent protests.
