i cant imagine it ever overtaking AIM or Yahoo....although gmail had proven to be quite superior.

i downloaded it and stayed logged in long enough for a message to pop up saying i had new mail and that was the end of that :lol:

its not that bad. no annoying pop-ups or ads like AIM. small app to load and small on memory. cool talk feature that doesn't require you to buy anything or download anything. saves conversations even after closing the chat window. its simple IM. no frills.

so i don't even remember having google talk, but i recently(re) downloaded this because one of the few people i talk to on aim switched over to this. i like it more than i thought i would...

I didn't even know it existed, but I've yet to find anything that compared to AIM... I've used Trillian, AIM, and Yahoo! Messenger and I'm just stuck on AIM, I don't think anything else comes close.

i too prefer aim, but this is all my friend uses now so it's either google talk or the phone :lol:
