I'm 30 and have been a fan since late '93 when my freind got R2T at a local bar. I was supposed to see them in Feb 94 at a college 1 mile from my house but wouldn't walk thru the foot of snow dumped on Greensboro, NC the night before. Loved them til "Under the Table.." came out but when everyone else started loving them, I felt betrayed, bitter, and lost interest. Found my way back on BTCS and have been LOVING DMB ever since. I have been an UBER fan since 1999. And an SUPER UBER DMB fan since 2001. That's pretty much when I went strictly DMB on my listening habits and shows. No need to waste my time on other shows and music that isn't gonna fill my soul with what it craves.

I am 22...I've been a casual DMB fan since the mid 90's but didn't go hardcore until April '03 when I saw Dave and Tim. That was all it took was to see Dave in concert and I was hooked.
I still remember I was offered first row when DMB came to Soldier Field a few years back. I was going to go but being the casual fan I was, I gave up my ticket to a friend who was way more hardcore than me at the time. I'm still banging my head on the wall thinking of that one.

23...been a fan ever since the mid 90s....unfortunately never really started going to the shows until i was more of the drinking age. Missed a great show in nashville in '00 when bela fleck, emmylou harris, and futerman showed up...still kicking myself for that one. Hard for me to miss a show these days.....

I'm 17 and started enjoying DMB when my brother loved them when i was about 12 or so, and would just listen to his CD's periodically. I bought Luther College when i was 14 or 15 and i enjoyed it. Then i bought Central Park about 2 years ago and was blown away and I've been hooked since.

I'm 32 - first saw the band in 1992 - have seen them about 25 times total - but none in the last 2 years :pissed:, guess I'm getting old because the big venues really don't do it for me. I'd rather be off on my own listening to a d/l instead of fighting a crowd that doesn't seem to be there for the music.:hypnodisk

just recently turned 19 a couple of days ago. i got hard and heavy into dmb around my sophomore year of high school i guess. its always been a growing love for their music though. it all got started when i would hear one of their songs on the radio like ants or crash and had to blast the speakers. one day it finally occured to me that they might be a band worth listening to, not to mention soon after i was hooked and hear i am now destroying my hard drive with endless versions of different dmb songs 24/7. sounds sad but not really cause it makes me smile.

31 been a fan since mid to late 90's but being from Canada and now living in Nashvegas I did not see my first show till 02 and been hooked ever since and every year I try and bring some newbies to the show so they can experience what I did with my first time.

Nothing like bringing a virgin to the show and seeing their expression on how much fun they have and now they want me to get them as many shows I can find ha ha

Hi...my name's Liz and I'm a DMBaholic...

hehe...I've been listening to DMB since I was 13 and I'm 22 now. I'll be attending my first show in August at Dallas...and let me be the first to tell you...that I may piss myself...lol Not really.

I first heard Ants Marching and was hooked until I got outta high school. When I moved out, I became a 'clubber'. No, I didn't go around and hit people with clubs...how I wish I could...but no...I didn't. I started listening to hip/hop and shtuff. A friend of mine dragged me to the movies one night to go and see Mr. Deeds and I nearly feel out when I heard Where Are You Going? I was like, "Dude, that's Dave Matthews Band!" And she was like..."Who?" I could have hit her. Needless to say...me and her aren't friends anymore. When we left, we went to Wal-Mart and I got Busted Stuff.

But still I wasn't back into DMB until earlier this year, when the gas station I work at decided to change it's radio station from country to more rock and pop flavored music. I almost fell out when I heard DMB.

Anywho...that's my story.

It's never too late to become an addict...and there is plenty of time to make up for all the lost concerts.....just think how much more you will appreciate them now than when you were younger - I think I am much more into enjoying and savoring the shows now that I am almost 30 rather than when I was in college and sometimes a little too wasted to really appreciate and take in the full affects....

Im 19, will be 20 in a few months. I've been a fan since Grey street! Actually my friend was listening to Busted Stuff and I thought it was neat, We jammed to bartender and played video games. Then one day I was walking along some railroad tracks near my house to go to a Mcdonalds (its a shortcut) and I found my first CD, CRASH! I thought hey, this is that Dave Matthews band i've been listening to at my friends house. After listening to that I was hooked. I soon owned every published album after that and my first show was in 03. I then realized how ironic it was that i had became a DMB fan because of a CD near some "Tracks." People still don't believe me when I tell them. lol

OMG--I feel like I'm ancient! 29. I just wanna say here that I think that it is so wrong that 14 yr old children of dave fans are fans now. Really it's great, but it makes me feel old.
So my sis had the Remember Two Things cd way back, and of course, I wanted to be cool like her so I liked dave then..... But I really became a fan in college '97 when my friend Marissa had dave picts up everywhere and convinced me how hot he was/is. Hard core fan in 2001. Didn't start going to concerts til last year and I am seriously hooked. Really, if you ride in my car you will hear dave and I probably won't change it even if ya beg.

yeesh is right! I turned 30 four days ago - yikes...i think i am having a mid-life crisis...

"Not 23 and so tired of life," I'm a pleasant 26. I've been battling the same feeling for a decade and found the cure: regular conversations with anybody over 70 will leave you feeling like a spring chicken. Nevertheless, all of you kids (25 and under) go to college and never leave or become a ski bum.

So true! Stay in college as long as possible - it is not nearly as much fun when you get out - people expect you to work and be productive members of society and your parents don't want to give you money anymore. Also, don't be a psych major - it is a waste of time

Haha. Also avoid being a biology major unless you plan on being a doctor or lab rat. Ecologists and phychologists are destined for similar futures: teaching ecology and phychology, because nobody cares to pay you for doing anything else with your knowledge.

unless you can't stand school - then get the hell out and be an entrepreneur. (and since my parents never gave me money anyway, i suppose it never was much of an incentive, lol.)

Also, don't be a psych major - it is a waste of time

how interesting - i find psych majors to be a big waste of time, too.  (and i'm just kidding all you wonderful psych majors out there. i'm sure there are one or two of you that redeem your counterparts out there. really. )

thank goodness you let me borrow all those wrinkle creams you have tried, but never worked - I think laying off the late night wine sessions may help with that
