I don't know about the rest of the country, but down here in the Tampa-area of Florida we have this program that helps those people who need the use of dialysis machines.
It works like this: All you have to do is save the metal tab that opens your favorite canned drinks, beer included and find a place that collects them. Down here by me some doctors take them, fraternal orders like the Lions Club, Elks Club(all those old people clubs) and other business take them. They make sure it gets to where in needs to be. They save the tabs because it is made of a denser metal than the rest of the can. Each tab buys someone one minute of dialysis.
So anyways I encourage everyone to look into this if they have never heard of it before, see if they do it in your area, if not see if maybe you can start it up in your area. It is a really easy way to help someone out.
P.S. Maybe you can just mail your tabs to someone you know down here in Florida or somwhere else where they do this program.
