Todays (Saturday's) Paper indicated that Britians Treasury Chief is looking into absolving Africa's debt to Britian. This is so awesome. Live 8 hasn't even taken place yet, and it could be triggering a world wide response. A G-8 summit is scheduled with the world's leading industrial nations next month in Scotland. Very exciting news :boings:

I remember when I saw it on nytimes.com, I was like wow, wait why is this at the bottom of the webpage? wasnt too hard to find at npr.org, I find I visit cnn.com less, half their news is on bs/celebrities and movies, and stuff that doesnt belong on the front page...sad

It was on the last page of my paper too. I think it was a late development, and it's not decided yet; but very exciting. I hope the other 7 countries will be willing to do the same thing.
