Anybody know some websites where they allow you download quality DMB Ringtones for the Cell Phone? I have Cingular and some girl gave me the website a while back and I lost it... any suggestions on good sites??

I found this website is incredibly useful for finding out any information about your phone. From here I learned how to make my own ringtones and transfer them to my phone. Obviously it depends on what type of phone you have, but it's worth checking out.

well if your phone takes mp3's or wav ringtones then you can go to www.nextpimp.com (nextel site) and just go to free ringtones. might work even though you dont have nextel. Do you have some type of cable to transfer onto the phone? or does it have to be sent to your phone via your phone number over the wireless network?

If you download it via the internet how does it want you to take it from your pc to the phone? is there some type of application loader you need and a serial/usb data cable to the phone? I can make any DMB song into a ringtone for a phone that expects mp3/wav formats but i need to know if yours can and how it works. what phone model is it?

Bryan has a good site here. My phone is a motorola nextel phone so i just make my DMB ringtones and upload it to my phone. THe only draw back is the hidden charges nextel hits ya with on the services. Other then that love it. But the matrixm site should just send it to your phone. Try using that like bryan said. Sorry couldnt help with the cpu/data cable thing.

i too have a verizon phone and have yet to come across and dmb rigntones on any of the different get it now programs...but i haven't checked in a while...the sony one has really cool audio ones you can get so you can hear the words to song as your phone rings...

OK, so I wasn't too sure where to throw this, so moderators, if I've screwed up, just call me names or make me read some of those complaining posts more than once :feelbette

I used to work at PayPal and got a chance to review a lot of sites, and I don't know if they still accept PP or not, but www.planetringtone.net (http://www.planetringtone.net) (do not put an 's' on tones) has some nice DMB ringtones. Somewhat simple and not MP3 related, but the Ants Marching and Two Step are my two mainly used rings! Two Step goes on for like 2 minutes so it's a perfect 'Alarm' for when I take a nap. It does cost like $11 for an entire year of downloading, and if you're paranoid of viruses and all, it's probably not for you.

Check it out and let me know what you think! Some of the links to other DMB songs haven't worked here and there.

Yeah my bad, good call! :) One of 'the new things' out in the technology virus world is sending a 'virus' to your phone through text messages you receive that has you go to a specific website. The programs now only seem to drain your phone's battery quicker, but no information is sent elsewhere. You turn your phone off, it's said to get rid of them. Most of the bigger ringtone websites though have filters and programs in place to not allow this to happen.

That being said, I've been with Planetringtone for about a year and have downloaded about 50 different ringtones with no problems. If you check it out, just make sure you read a lot of the info.

ALSO, if your phone is equiped with MP3 playability (mine isn't dangit), you can use 1 of their programs to shorten a song that YOU have, and put it into a ringtone. Nice!

I live in Orchard Paek NY and I have a cricket sell phone. Kick ass Audiovox 8900, although shitty ass service. Cricket doesnt participate in any of the cool things out there. Is there anyone in the B-Lo area that knows how to get DMB ringtones. I've already gone to their website and requested and requested etc....and still no DMB.

Hey, Just wanted to throw in my extra two cents on this.....
There is also a website called freeringers.net Where you pay, I think 9.99$ or less, and they give you software to download to make your own ringers and screensavers. You can do poly and real music tones. It's an awesome site and you have NO virus worries because you know where the files came from. It's kinda tricky to figure out at first but it gets easy and you can put anything you want on your phone. I myself, Love my new Stand Up ringers....Hunger makes a great one...lol...Can't get enough of that dirty girl thing...lol. If anyone wants a test run first just email me and I will make a ringer of your choice and send it to your phone via text message....
P.S. It supports pretty much every wireless service out there...As long as you have text & web

hey im from buffalo and i have "Ants Marching", "Seek Up", "Satelite", and "Crush" on my phone. I got them from www.2thumbswap.com The easiest way I found to download them was to go on the internet through my phone and jsut download them right there. Each tone was free too. I have Cingular thought I don't know about Cricket sorry

i've got verizon and i'm convinced they are the devil when it comes to ringtones...i've yet to find a place online were i can download ringtones (particularly dmb) from. verizon has decent ring tones, but not too much of a selection...i definitely think i might take you up on your offer heather for you to send me one...

P.S. It does support Verizon...However, You are correct. Verizon is the devil when it comes to ringers...lol. The file has to be a small file and it has to be relayed a certain way. It is possible though!!!:boings:

I don't use my phone mush so I went pre-paid.....with that said...while my phone could access certain sites....T-Mobile restricts this feature for their "2 Go" customers.....any one have any ideas on what I can do....I can text / receive images...AOL IM and Yahoo Messenger....now when I tried to send a midi files using Multimedia mail the ring tone didn't go through??!?

Friend of mine always has good rings for his Nextel...but he as one of the newest models....I850 or something like that. (the black and blue one) He has a James Blunt song as his ringer right now.


And I'm kindof upset that T-Mobile has all this ring tones that are actually clips of the song....but no DMB. I know its a licensing or copyrighting issue...but I'm surprised that DMB wouldn't allow them the songs seeing as how they are so generous with tapers and such. Anyone know anything more about this?

nextel has a program out there called webjal.. do some research you will find alot of stuff involved with that and you wont be sorry.

i have a program that makes ringtones... if anyones wants any.. just let me know the song and i can make it for them for their personal use. pm me or email me....i have made some for myself and they have turned out really great. i will put up some samples of non-DMB ones since i know that there are some lisencing issues with DMB and what not. take a listen and see. anyway.... just let me know.........
