Has anyone caught this? If you havn't, Wednesday the ICE, the largest investigative arm of the Department of Homeland Security, and newly formed "task force" launced an investigative attack on a popular torrent site based on purported detailed information provided by the Motion Picture Association of America.

This attack came the same day that BitTorrent inventor Bram Cohen and company released a search engine (http://search.bittorrent.com/) for locating and cataloging files available for p2p transfer.

The government is is calling this the first criminal law enforcement action against BitTorrent users.

Ya, apparently Brad Cohen (the creator of bit torrent) launched his own torrent search page to coincide with the bust: http://search.bittorrent.com/

He's said that he didn't design the tool for piracy, and thinks people who use it for that type of thing are crazy. I'm a bit surprised he decided to throw his weight behind a search engine that returns results for Revenge of the Sith.
