That is genius.

I hope that little fella has fun spending 50 grand.

This is disguisting. He's exploiting a poor rabbit that he may just eat anyway. Nothing says he can't eat Toby even if he gets $50,000.

It's probably not even real. I'm gonna put up a picture of my cat and ask for Chinese food recipes so I can buy my new Xterra.

Where the hell is PETA?

Some of it seems all fishy but if its all true this guy has made this much money already then the people who give him money are more stupid and gullibale to give it to him.. it is a genious idea too.

NBC nightly actually did a report on this. I can't believe they wasted their time. I guess this set up was created by 2 college students. I sent them a foul e-mail.

Thanks Charles for posting this. It gives people more important things to donate money to, and emphasizes that this is a joke.

Many people do eat rabbit in the US, deer as well. In France and other parts of Europe, horse meat is quite popular. In some cultures, dog meat is eaten.
It all depends on your philisophy.

I wasn't bothered so much by the idea of someone cooking a rabbit. I was more bothered by someone using an innocent rabbit as a ploy to get money for himself. I was even more irritated when I found out it was not even legitimate, and he was getting money for nothing.

Furthermore, the even sadder idea is the thought that members of our society would be pulled in to donate money to this site.

I'd rather that the money people sent would actually go to something meaningful.

well just for everyone to know it was not real. and in fact now he has "threatened" again but this time its november 3rd of 2006.. even though he was short like $2,000 last time.. It has been said before and he also has a disclaimer i beleive saying it is fake. and money will go to funding to pay for the site and local charities.

Glad to know it's going to local charities and not to line his pockets.

Sounds like whoever wrote the book has no life. Who would want to write about something sick like that?

Quoting myself from before. All money raised goes to charities. The only money this guy saves is to keep the website running everything else goes to charities.
