Just heard the news that Peter Boyle has just died at the age of 71. He played Frank Barone in Everybody Loves Raymond. Just thought people would be interested who loved this show as much as me!

I was so sad to see this. I loved this show. Still do. It's one of the few (other than Seinfeld) that I've ever really kept up with. So hilarious. He was great on it! He had a long, good career before Raymond, though. It's sad to see him go.

Driving home from work today I was listening to NPR and they played the clip from Young Frankenstein where he and Gene Wilder are dancing to Puttin' On the Ritz - absolutely hilarious. He was a very talented actor. Apparently, he had multiple myeloma (cancer) and heart disease...very sad.
