I don't know if any of you guys have been following this case, but I find the details of this girl's murder to be chilling. Especially with the potential murderer now found, it's been getting a lot of press. Here are some links if you're unfamiliar:

News of the suspect:
Yahoo News (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060820/ap_on_re_us/jonbenet_ramsey)
Msnbc (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/14379566/)

News of the murder:

I can't decide if I think John Mark Karr is guilty...Part of me thinks he's mentally unstable to be able to be held accountable for anything he says. What do yall think?

I think its all a fluke and he's not the murderer. I mean its a crazy coincidence that he was a child molester in Thailand and lived in the same county as JonBenet. However, his ex-wife did say he was in Alabama with her at the time of the murder. I still think one of her parents did it because the ransom note was in her mothers hand writing. Plus, who the hell writes a ransom letter after a murder? :screwy:

Well and the ransom note was for $118,000, which was the exact amount of Jonbenet's father's bonus that month. That number is just too random to be coincidental. But I don't see how a mother could do that to her daughter...and theres also the DNA/blood spots that dont match up with the parents.

Probably planted that blood or something... eh I have no idea, I just don't think it was this guy.

that is exactly true. so is what paige said. it is all too much of a strange coincidence to be anyone else but her parents. everything fits in to place with one of them as the murderer

I can't decide if I think John Mark Karr is guilty...
Word on the street is he confessed so he could be extradited back to the states instead of facing charges in Thailand. Prob. a smart move on his part...I don't believe him...but smart move. F'ing creep!

I guess I feel like there are enough variables to dissprove the parents as primary suspects at this point...but idk, i think dna/blood results will be able to rule out a lot, and it'll be interesting to see if John Mark Karr matches up.

same he is crazy i think, there is just something that doesn't add up with this guy, i just dont think he did it. but its crazy to think the parents did it, i mean there are sick people like that who would do such a thing. its just so crazy someone would do that to a yyoung child.

Yeah, at first i was all excited that they finally got him, but as things started to come together, the evidence wasn't pointing to him, with the wife saying he was in Alabama, but then there was that yearbook that had the same i guess the same phrase or such, and then i went back to maybe he is guilty, perhaps tonight when he gets back to the states we will finally find out somemore. But as to if he is gulity or not i just think he is one unstable man who didn't want to be jailed in the thailand prisons.

I think he wants to take responsibility for something he did not do. I don't think he's unstable just looking for attention. He skipped out on his trial here in California for child pornography. I think he has the potential to do great harm. It's criminal how this poor girls autopsy is available on the internet. IT SHOULD BE A FEDERAL CRIME TO REPORT ANY EVIDENCE OF AN UNSOLVED CRIME ON THE INTERNET. :pissed: This guy corresponded with a professor for years about this case. He moved his family to the city where Polly Klass lived.:screwy: HE HAD TWO CHILD BRIDES! Why was he not charged with statutory rape? If one of those girls were my daughters he would have quitely disappeared. Does he think we care about him comparing himself to Michael Jackson:pissed: they both need to be behind bars. We need tough judges and mandatory life sentences for crimes against children. You could never convence me they can be rehabilitated.

you're exactly right. it's scary when stuff like that (her autopsy) can be viewed on the internet. makes you wonder about how sick minded some people really are.

True, I think he should have been in jail a long long time ago.

I think John Karr is a huge freaky ass, child loving weirdo. But I don't think he killed Jonbenet. I think he's so obsessed with her that he has convinced himself he did it.

I don't think this jackass is the killer, send him back to Michael Jacksons fantasy island...

What I find kind of weird is that he got treated like a king on his flight back to the U.S. He got to enjoy a fine meal, dessert and drink wine/beer. I was unaware that convicts get to fly first class and enjoy such benefits.

I just find that ironic. They said on the news that "it was very different where he was being held in custody." Well, I'd like to hope so.

It's a saftey issue primarily. But guess who fits the bill.....TAXPAYERS. You forgot the champagne he guzzled down as well. When he was arraigned here in L.A. the attorney who meet with him said: "I find him to be very intelligent. And with all mental faculties in tact. Suspect feels that the media has portrayed him in a negative manner. Just because he is outside the norm". This is a crucial statement that cannot be overlooked. In essence she observed him to be "ECCENTRIC not CRAZY" . Now let's see what a court appointed shrink does with him. If he's cleared of Jonbenet's murder, he's headed back to California to face the child pornography charges he skipped out on. California does'nt give to many "GO TO THE STATE LOONEY BIN" cards out. So he won't make it prison here.

This is very distressing!:screwy: Why won't we protect our most precious resource, CHILDREN.:pissed: With the amount of child pornography he was stated to have he should have done some time behind bars. This man is a tragic accident waiting to happen. I hope some parent doesn't become victim to protecting their child against this individual.
