Dance Your Way to the 2009 10,000 Lakes Festival with Weekly Davespeak!

UPDATE: Thanks to all those who submitted videos. We will now vote upon the entries over the course of the next several days. Beginning today, people will be able to vote on which video they think deserves the tickets. You have until June 26 to cast your vote.

Dance Your Way to 10klf 2009!

Do you remember all of the different covers that the Dave Matthews Band played in 2008? Do you remember the tune, "Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Again)"? If you're unfamiliar with the song, you most definitely have heard about Dave's wild dancing during the song while the crowd clapped their hands in unison with each other, singing, "Thank you for lettin' me, BE MYSELF... AGAIN!"

Dave wasn't just dancing for show, either. He was that into the song.

The Contest
Everyone has their version of the infamous "Dave Dance". Now's your chance to show you can bust a move just like Dave. Weekly Davespeak is giving a way a pair of general admission passes to the 2009 10,000 Lakes Festival on July 22-25. Starting on May 21st, and continuing till June 16th, contests have the opportunity to submit a video of themselves dancing for 10klf.

However, for those of you who already have GA passes, you can still participate. If you win the contest, and already have GA passes, you will be upgraded with VIP passes.

The contest will be held for two and a half weeks, beginning on May 21, 2009, and concluding on June 16, 2009. Participants will post links to their videos in 10KLF 2009 Contest thread. To be considered, you must have 'Dance Your Way to 10KLF 2009 with Weekly Davespeak' as the title of your video. Videos will be eligible for voting based off of how many views they have during the two and a half weeks that the contest is scheduled from.

Be sure to spread the word about your video through Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, and other message boards. They key is to have the most views entering the voting period. Remember, the 5 videos with the most views will be voted upon to decide the winner.

Objective
The objective is to pick your favorite song (it doesn't have to be DMB), and record a video, which will then be posted to YouTube, of yourself showing off your best dance grooves, just like Dave. Next, you will need to spread the word about your video through Facebook, Twitter, other DMB boards, etc to get as many views as possible. The top 5 videos with the most views will then be voted on by the users of WDS. The video with the most votes wins.

Directions
Contestant participants will upload videos to YouTube, specially marking them as 'Dance Your Way to 10KLF 2009 with Weekly Davespeak'. For two and a half weeks, beginning on May 21, 2009, and concluding on June 16, 2009, participants will post links to their videos in 10KLF 2009 Contest thread.

After the two and a half week period is over, there will be one week (June 6-10) dedicated to voting on the 5 videos which received the most views on YouTube. Voting is open to ALL WDS users (note: you must be registered with WDS to post the link to your video, as well as vote). After this period has ended, the winner will be announced!

Overview

• You must be a registered WDS member to enter

• Limit 1 entry per user. If multiple videos are submitted, both will be disqualified
• There can be more than one person in the video, but it has to be clearly specified in the description of the video who will be receiving the passes (your WDS username is fine)
• There's no time limit for your video
• The 5 videos with the most views will be judged by the members of WDS
• The video with the most votes in the WDS foums at the end of the second round will win the passes
